Arts and Design Project 1 - New Idea

My idea is to add a setting to each recording. Also for me to be able to add them as the track's pictures on soundcloud.

1st recording:

The setting is a dim dark place where weird sounds are heard around her. She's covering her ears with her hands trying to sing. It is related to the lyrics in every way; she doesn't want to wake up because he is not there with her and she is scared she is trying to sing to get the voices out of her head.
She is singing alone in a dark place. The tempo and the note changes are because of her fear. It is obvious she is trying to control it (the singer) as soon as possible.

Arts and Design Project 1 - Editing the first recording

I edited the recording to sound totally different that it doesn't even show that it was the same recording and added it to the background of the song. I also added a bit of an echo and made it sound like it's in a n empty room. The setting is a dim dark place where weird sounds are heard around her.

Arts and Design Project 1 - Research (Imogen Heap)

Imogen Heap is a musician and a producer.
She was born on December 9, 177 in East London, England.

"Heap is not just a compelling vocalist from the Kate Bush school for the intensely intriguing. She's a charismatic singer willing to dig deep." - David Wild, Rolling Stone Records.

Genres she's been associated with: Ambient, electronica, trip hop, indie rock, dream pop and alternative rock.

"Classically trained composer, multi-instrumentalist and singer Imogen Heap finds her muse in unlikely places. She's mined sonic mystery from sources ranging from cardboard tubes to cheap samplers to the data gloves--not to mention her own vocal cords."

“Heap's last album Ellipse earned her a Grammy and Ivor Novello award”

Arts and Design Project 1 - 2nd Recording

While wondering the streets in London looking for something interesting to record I heard a beautiful melody coming from the right side of the street.

I was on Oxford Street, London. I recorded the sound because it was new, unique and different.

They were 3 guys one with a harmonica, one with a Cajon and one with a guitar. The chemistry they had together was amazing, they were playing very well with a lot of energy which made people stand and hear them play.

I used my phone to record this only because I did not have access to equipment whilst in London.

Arts and Design Project 1 - Looking Outside Yourself

The Exchange Bar

It's a place you go to when you need to clear your head. For me it's a place to edit in because I like to edit in cosy calm places where I can just put my headphones on and edit for hours.
It is a place you hear quite, slow and classical music in.

Songs that would be played in a place like this:
You're beautiful - Bryan Adams
Photograph - Ed Sheeran
Writings on the wall - Ssm Smith
Little Do you Know - Alex and Ciera
